XDefiant had plenty of playtests and is just about finished with its Preseason. This saw the introduction of a new faction, a new weapon, and plenty of other content. You can expect even more when XDefiant Season 1 launches on July 1.

Season 1 of XDefiant launches on July 2, 2024. In typical gaming fashion, that date is a Tuesday. And with XDefiant updates and patches, we've seen a pattern where they arrive at 6 a.m. PT.

Right above is a countdown to that time on July 2. Expected downtime is typically an hour, but that could be extended with the amount of new content coming. Keep your eyes on the official XDefiant X account for those types of updates.

When the XDefiant Season 1 update goes live, you'll be met with loads of new content. There will be a new Battle Pass with plenty of rewards to grind, a new Faction inspired by Rainbow Six, new weapons, new maps over time, and of course, the long-awaited ranked mode.

There are bound to be more surprises when it comes to the content arriving with XDefiant Season 1. Expect plenty of balance tweaks when new weapons and Factions overperform, or even when new maps appear to be a bit one-sided.

Regardless, this is exactly what the XDefiant playerbase has been waiting for. The Preseason was a good start, but more content to make the game fresh and keep them playing was a must. It looks like we're set to get just that.
