The Knights Arena Valorampage tournament kicks off in just a few hours! This will be the first competitive tournament for North American fans since VCT Champs. The Valorampage event will be introducing bans to the agent select, similar to their League of Legends counterpart. VCT Champs quarter-finalists Cloud9 will be headlining the event. The North American side will be looking to gain some reps after being invited to the Challengers one main event due to their top-four status.

Which teams will be competing in the Valorampage tournament?

Thirty-two North American sides will be competing in the tournament. Four teams from VLR.ggs's top ten power ranked rosters will headline this event. The highest of those teams is Cloud9, which is one of the best sides in the world at the moment. Alongside them will be solid sides such as Akrew, NRG and Version1.

What is the format for Valorampage?

32 teams will compete in eight groups of four. The groups will be GSL double elimination with the top two teams advancing to the playoffs. All group stage matches will be best-of-one. The last sixteen teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket. Every match will be best-of-three apart from the finals which will be best-of-five. As stated earlier in the article, this will be the first tournament supporting agent bans.

What is the prize pool distribution for Valorampage?

The thirty-two teams will be competing for a share of the $25,000 prize pool. Here is how the money is distributed amongst the teams.

  • 1st: $12,500
  • 2nd: $7,500
  • 3rd-4th: $2,500
