Here’s what to expect in TFT patch 13.24 releasing on Dec. 6 at roughly 6 a.m. PT!

The first major balance changes are coming to Set 10 Teamfight Tactics (TFT) and providing slight but much-needed adjustments ahead of the TFT Vegas Open. With a meta dominated by getting to level 9 as soon as possible, the balance team looked to remedy the situation without drastic changes days before the competition. TFT lead designer Stephen "Mortdog" Mortimer posted his patch rundown earlier than usual to give players time to learn the version of the game they will be competing on in Las Vegas.

What's in the TFT patch notes for 13.24?

These are all the upcoming Riot-labeled large changes. For information on the additional small changes, refer to the newly released official patch notes.

Trait changes in TFT patch 13.24

8-Bit

  • AD per stack increased from 3.5/6/10% to 4.5/7.5/12%
  • Grand Prize score reduced from 456,789 (234,567 HR) to 345,678 (199,999 HR)

8-Bit is a scaling trait that is taking too long to ramp up and the Grand Prize is currently too difficult to achieve. These buffs should assist 8-Bit's viability.

Country

  • 3-piece attack speed bonus (whole team) reduced from 20% to 15%
  • 5-piece Omnivamp bonus (Country units only) reduced from 20% to 15%

Slight nerfs are being introduced to the team-wide bonuses that come into effect when the Hecarim is summoned. The main idea here is to reduce the power that early 3-piece Country can have.

Guardian

  • Guardian shields reduced from 30/50/70% to 25/40/60%

This defensive trait is considered "overstatted" in its current iteration. There is too much strength in the shielding, especially since early guardian units Kennen and Neeko are so valuable as units along with their secondary synergies, with KDA, True Damage, and Superfan.

Jazz

  • HP per trait reduced from 2/3/4% to 1.5/2/3%
  • Damage per trait reduced from 1/2/3% to 1/1.5/2%

Jazz is a reinvention of a previous set augment, Stand United, into a trait. The ability to take advantage of its full potential in the late game was underestimated. With how easy it can be slotted in, Jazz was giving too much combat power. Mortdog considers this the biggest nerf of the patch.

Champion nerfs in TFT patch 13.24

The second biggest nerf of the patch is to possibly the most valuable 1-cost unit in the set.

Kennen

  • Spell damage reduced from 160/240/360 to 145/215/325

Sona

  • Attack speed version will not buff small Yorick ghouls

Ziggs

  • Mana pool increased from 30/70 to 30/75
  • Extra small bombs per cast reduced from 2 to 1

Due to the meta being so level 9 and legendary unit-oriented, the 4-costs are receiving a lot of love in an attempt to make level 8 compositions more viable.

These are the most notable augment changes to take note of for the upcoming patch. Additionally, portal name changes and bug fixes round out this relatively small but important patch.

If you want to check those out and the rest of the augment changes, refer to TFT community member Kayna's patch notes slides here! It's important to note that an additional bug fix not on the list is Goldmancer's Staff. It should trigger the intended amount instead of too often.
