Kyedae teased that she’s going to quit streaming, sparking speculation that her competitive VALORANT career may be the reason.
Nearly a month after her last stream, Kyedae "Kyedae" Alisha Shymko returned to Twitch, jumping back into some VALORANT matches alongside her boyfriend and former pro player, Tyson "TenZ" Ngo. During the stream, she shared updates about her journey in the competitive scene and delivered some bittersweet news to her community: Kyedae is quitting streaming altogether.
"One foot is out the door."
At the beginning of her stream, Kyedae announced this was not a comeback after a 24-day-long hiatus from streaming on Twitch. She asked her community to lower their expectations because she would be away for at least another month. "Will Kyedae quit streaming?" the chat started to ask. She gave a small laugh and answered, "Yeah, one foot is out of the door".
Even though Kyedae didn’t elaborate much on why she will quit streaming, many believe it’s due to her recent entry into the competitive scene. Later in the stream, she admitted she was “done with streaming” and said, “Goodbye, guys.”
Later, Kyedae came on X, confirming her plans to quit streaming indefinitely to pursue other objectives in her life. "It’s what’s best for me right now — and honestly, I haven’t felt this happy and at peace in years", she wrote. Aside from her entrance into the competitive scene, Kyedae also revealed that she is suffering from some health issues recently.
