Overwatch 2 teases Gundam Wing crossover: “30 years of epic battles and legendary storytelling.”

Is another Overwatch 2 collaboration arriving soon? Players recently noticed the game's official X account replying to a Gundam Wing account. Here's what we know so far.

On April 1, the official Overwatch 2 account on X replied to an account dedicated to all things Gundam. The reply was to a post about Gundam Wing's upcoming 30-year anniversary. Gundam Wing debuted in Japan on April 7, 1995.

"[Thirty] years of epic battles and legendary storytelling," the Overwatch 2 account wrote. "Happy Anniversary, Gundam Wing."

This reply aligned with recent Overwatch 2 leaks, according to OWCavalry on X. "The official [Overwatch] account celebrated the franchise's 30-year milestone in a reply, teasing a collaboration and aligning with recent leaks," the account stated.

OWCavalry then asked folks to predict some Overwatch 2 Gundam Wing skins. Since the Overwatch 2 account made the reply on April Fools' Day, some folks expressed skepticism as well.

Predictions included Wing Zero Pharah, Exia Genji, Virtue Ramattra, and Deathscythe Reinhardt. Fans also hoped for Overwatch 2 Gundam Wing skins going to omnic heroes like Zenyatta and Echo.

We have about a week to go before the Gundam Wing anniversary on April 7. Will Blizzard reveal the details soon? Only time will tell. Looking at the official Overwatch 2 roadmap, we can see that Season 16 will have "new collaborations," meaning that there will be more than one of them.
