The universes of two popular games collapsed and created a new mode: for you to play UNO cards and battle Brawl Stars opponents.
We are in the middle of a Brawl Pass season, and it gets even more interesting. Brawl Stars unleashed a new collaboration event! This time, the community has UNO cards and an awesome skin inspired by them.
The Brawl Stars UNO event features a pretty challenging game mode, but the ultimate prize is worth going for this battler. You can win a free skin, UNO Chester. Your attempts to do so are limited, so get yourself properly prepared.
The UNO game mode in Brawl Stars
The main activity during this event is a special UNO game mode. Here is a brief description of the rules.
- It’s a 3v3 battle.
- Brawl Stars teams get their UNO cards right at their spawn spot. They should deliver them to the discard pile — on the opponents’ side.
- The players who can discard all their UNO Cards win this Brawl Stars match.
Special cards
Sure, this wouldn’t be a proper UNO experience without special cards. You pull them randomly during a match, and they bring unique effects.
- Draw Two: Players on your team get two Power Cubes. The card increases damage and improves healing.
- Skip: Your opponents cannot shoot for the next three seconds.
- Reverse: All of your opponent's cards return to their spawn spot.
Casual matches and special event
Brawl Stars offers two options for UNO matches.
- Special event gives players a limited number of attempts. You need to earn nine wins, but losing four times kicks you out of the competition.
- Casual matches follow the same playing rules, but they come without any limitations.
It is certainly a good idea to have decent practice in casual matches before diving into the challenging battles of the special event. You need to understand the game to not lose your chances for UNO rewards.
The special event gives these prizes:
- Six Starr Drops.
- Three special UNO cosmetics: a player icon with 3 wins, a new spray with 6 victories, and a new pin with 9 wins.
- The UNO Chester skins as the main reward.

Tips and tricks
The UNO mode is somewhat similar to Brawl Ball, Hockey, and Basketball. You don’t need to eliminate opponents to “score”, but if they are in your way, it’s a serious obstacle.
- Take a card and throw it closer to the opponents’ base to have your brawler ready to attack. After a fight, you can pick up the card again and move forward.
- The division into card carriers and fighters can work in the Brawl Stars UNO mode. Similar to Gem Grab, such teamwork is more effective than chaotic actions.
- There are no reasons to play specific characters beyond your personal preferences. The mode suits all brawler classes, so feel free to pick whoever you like the most. However, different characters require different approaches. Mind this! You don’t play Frank the same way as you play Edgar.
- There is no need to bring the cards up to the discard pile as you can throw them. An opponent can block your throw, so make sure there is no one in the way of your cards.
- Use body blocking for the card throws by your opponents.
UNO Chester: An exclusive Brawl Stars skin
If you win nine matches of the Special event, Brawl Stars rewards you with a special skin: UNO Chester. This style suits the character a lot!
Chester is a Legendary Damage Dealer. He is kind of a joker who shoots dangerous projectiles: their number increases up to four.
The UNO Chester skin looks great, and if you can't win it for free, Brawl Stars will gladly sell it to you. UNO Chester is available in the game shop starting on April 17. This is also a time-limited offer, as it was with SpongeBob characters, so don’t postpone the purchase — it will disappear quickly.
The game promises other UNO cosmetics will be available on the Brawl Stars Shop. Check the offers regularly to not miss anything interesting. The UNO offers can occasionally appear in the shop up to September 2025.
