The Battlepass in Marvels Rivals definitely isn’t your standard BP, so come take a look at exactly how it works.

Marvel Rivals has a Battlepass like many other games, but that doesn't mean it works in the same way. Yes, you have your cosmetics to unlock and pages to flip through. It comes with a different method of unlocking things, however.

This has some players stumped on how to progress. So, look no further as we'll explain everything about the Marvel Rivals Battlepass to you.

How does the Marvel Rivals Battlepass work?

Let's start with the basics. There are multiple pages with rewards like character skins, MVP animations, sprays, nameplates, and even in-game currencies.

Each page has premium items that require a purchased Battlepass, but there are a couple of free items you can obtain. The pages also have a highlighted item that can only be unlocked once all prior items on the page have been acquired.

Now, we get into the currency aspect of it. You must use Chrono Tokens to collect the different items in the Marvel Rivals Battlepass. And unlike other games with BP pages, you don't open up more pages by unlocking a set number of tiers.

Instead, more pages become available once you've obtained a certain number of Chrono Tokens. So, in order to get items from every page of the Battlepass, you'll need to gather up several thousand Chrono Tokens. And don't worry, the number needed is cumulative. It doesn't change if you spend any.

There are a couple of ways you can earn Chrono Tokens to use in the Marvel Rivals Battlepass. The first method is by converting Lattice. Lattice is the premium paid currency in the game, and you can do a 1:1 exchange of Lattice to Chrono Tokens.

The other way is through Missions and Event objectives. Daily Missions and seasonal challenges unlock periodically, with some handing out either Units or Chrono Tokens upon completion. You can view all of these, along with the Battlepass from the Season tab at the top.
