Who is Ekko in Arcane Season 2?

Ekko is a leader and an inventor from Zaun in Arcane.

Ekko is one of the most influentional characters in Zaun, the city in conflict with Piltover in Arcane.

We're introduced to Ekko in the very beginning of Arcane Season 1, when he was merely called Little Man by the likes of Vi, Powder, Claggor, and Mylo. But, as the series progress, Little Man grows and everybody calls him Ekko.

Ekko's story arc in Arcane Season 1

When Arcane starts, the series present Ekko as an prodigius 13-year-old that works as an assistant in Benzo's shop. Although he doesn't go with Vi, Powder, Claggor, and Mylo on their jobs, he oftens provides useful information for them — most notably handing out the location of Jayce's workshop, which Vi and the rest rob and cause an explosion.

Later on, Ekko also finds out that Vander had made a deal with Sheriff Grayson. The deal consisted of Grayson keeping the Piltover enforcers away from Zaun as long as Vander kept the Zaunites far from Piltover. The robbery essentially destroyed this deal as Grayson must arrest who caused a mess in Topside.

When Arcane Season 1, Act 1 concludes and Silco goes on to build a truly empire in the abscence of Vander, Ekko becomes a charismatic leader among opressed Zaunite. He's 20 years old and formed a group known as the Firelights, which relentless try to cause damage to Silco's Shimmer production.

Ekko orders the Firelights to kidnap Vi after she gets out of the jail because he saw her with Caitlyn, a Piltover enforcer. He quickly realizes that Vi is still fighting for Zaun and the two old friends hug once all is clarified.

The Firelights leader nearly die toward the end of Arcane Season 1 as he confronts Jinx on the bridge that connects Piltover and Zaun. Ekko, however, survives and meets former councilor Heimerdinger later at the bridge. He brings Heimerdinger to the Firelights hideout, which leaves the inventor surprised by the beauty of the place.

Ekko's story arc in Arcane Season 2

Heimerdinger is amazed with Ekko's inventor skills and they go together to Piltover to see the Hextech in Arcane Season 2.

There, they stumble across Jayce, and are all determined in destroying Hextech. After interacting with it, Ekko and Heimerdinger end up in a parallel dimension in which Zaun is a prosper city and Ekko is a reconigzed inventor.

In this parallel universe, Vi died in Jayce's workshop Heist, but Claggor, Mylo, Vander, Benzo, and Silco are all alive. Ekko engages in a relationship with Powder — she never became Jinx in this reality — and builds the Hextech with Jinx and Heimerdinger's help.

Ekko invents the Zero-Drop he uses in League of Legends and learns time travel. Heimerdinger finds a way to send Ekko back to their original timeline, albeit sacrificing him in the process.

When Ekko goes back, he assists in the war between Piltover and Zaun troops versus Ambessa and Viktor's troops. And just when Viktor nearly concluded his plan to absorb everyone, Ekko throws the Zero-Drop at him, leading the Hexgem to interact with Viktor and stop the process.

Is Ekko in League of Legends?

Yes, Ekko is one of the champions in League of Legends. Riot Games added Ekko to League of Legends in May 2015.

The leader of the Firelights is up to this day a strong option for those who want to play as Mid or Jungle. Known also as "The Boy Who Shattered Time", Ekko is one of the 10 characters from Arcane that are playable champions in League of Legends.
