Team Liquid sweep EG to win the LCS Lock In finals

TL are facing Evil Geniuses in a huge clash to determine the Lock In champion. This article will be updated as the match progresses.

It's the grand finals of LCS Lock In. Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid stormed through the competition, and clashed to determine the preseason champion. Evil Geniuses were undefeated coming in, with their young talent leading the league. For TL, veteran recruits Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau and Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg had led the way on an equally stellar run.

Who would win the clash of titans and be the favourites heading in to the LCS Spring Split?

Game 1: Bjergsen's Sylas hands Evil Geniuses their first loss of 2022

Game 1 saw the powerful Twisted Fate sneak through the draft, a pick Joseph "jojopyun" Pyun quickly picked up. It was countered by Sylas for Bjergsen, and he had massive impact all game to lead Team Liquid to the win.

The loss is the first of the year for Evil Geniuses - they were undefeated heading into these finals. Can they bring it back?

Game 2: A crazy Baron steal can't save EG

The Game 2 draft was similar to the first. EG ran back the Twisted Fate, Varus, and Gwen, while TL kept their Jarvan IV, Sylas, and Aphelios. Bwipo successfully shut down Jeong "Impact" Eon-young's Gwen, and Team Liquid pulled out ahead. Trying for Baron off the back of a kill, they were foiled by the Evil Geniuses combo of Kyle "Danny" Sakamaki and jojopyun.

Despite that, though, EG couldn't keep up. Team Liquid were too far ahead, and their teamfighting was too strong. They closed it out to take a commanding 2-0 lead.

Game 3: Hans sama leads Team Liquid to the win

Evil Geniuses took a lead for the first time all series in Game 3. Some nice early plays gave them a gold lead, and the advantage. But while they made things happen across the map, TL AD Carry Steven "Hans sama" Liv was farming to his heart's content. When midgame came around, he dished out the damage to overcome the EG lead.

From then on, Evil Geniuses couldn't stand up to TL. TL closed it out to become the LCS Lock In champions.
