Mel Medarda was one of the most impactful characters in the last season of Arcane. However, some details about her birth and who she really is become unclear. At the end of Arcanse Season One, we can see that a shield protected Mel and Jayce during the Jinx's attack on Pilltover's Council. That was the moment we knew Mel was not only a leader - she had natural magic powers we didn't know of.

We know Ambessa is a Noxian from her head to her toes. However, there is not a lot of information about who's Mel's father. We know Ambessa had a case with a powerful man. As an X user pointed out, we saw Mel as a child wearing a uniform with the Solari symbol. Besides, we always saw Mel under a sunny light in the Arcane openings also started some speculations among fans. Not only that but all the power she showed us in the last Act was consistent with the Solari powers.

At this point, it's already impossible not to connect Mel Medarda with the Solari power, it's too obvious. Being half solari could also mean that Mel is almost like a demigod - half human, half god. Others speculate that Ambessa had a case with Pantheon, the Aspect of War, but there are all speculations.
