Only two days after being launched, Arcane Season 2 is already a huge hit on Netflix, being in front of Outer Banks and Bank Under Siege.

Only two days after its launch, Arcane season 2 is already a hit on Netflix. The show smashed all Netflix charts and is the most popular in 60 countries. Is it surprising? Probably not. Arcane conquered every chart as the best animation series of all time.

In 2022, Arcane won four Emmy Awards, including the Outstanding Animated Program - the "Super Saiyan" of the animation awards. It was also the first Netflix animation to win this award.

Arcane Season Two is not only about League

It's important to say that many people who loved Arcane never touched League of Legends. We're talking about a show inspired by a video game that has been making the game even more popular. According to FlixPatrol, a site that follows movie and series charts on various streaming platforms, Arcane has been smashing the charts. We can see that Arcane Season 2 has still a great advantage over Outer Banks, even though it was launched two days ago.

At the moment that this article was written, Arcane had 100% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. It's important to clarify that this percentage is based on 19 reviews. The Popcornmeter (audience rating) has 96% with more than 500 reviews.

Not only is Arcane a huge success but also is not fully out yet: we still have two acts to be launched, one on November 16 and the last on November 23. This probably means that Arcane season 2 will keep being hyped up by fans since we have still more six episodes to go.

However, to the sadness of fans, Arcane won't be renewed for a third season, confirmed by Netflix Arcane’s co-creator Christian Linke.

The most expensive animation series

According to Variety, Arcane Season 2 cost 100 million dollars while the first season cost 80 million. Variety's sources claimed that Riot Games spent that much on the series due to their lack of experience in the field. Arcane's budget won't go beyond $250 million as fans won't get a third season. However, sources claim that is unlikely for Riot to profit more than they spent.
