Meet Jiaoqiu, a healer on the Path of Nihility.

Honkai Star Rail revealed a new character, Jiaoqiu, through regular drip marketing. Check out details about Jiaoqiu here.

In Honkai Star Rail, Jiaoqiu is a 5-star Fire character on the Path of Nihility.

Jiaoqiu is a Foxian, similar to Yukong and Tingyun. He is also from the Yaoqing Flagship of the Xianzhou. This is not the first time we hear of this ship as Sushang was originally from here before she was transferred to the Luofu. Sushang looks up to the Arbiter-General mentioned, "Merlin's Claw" Feixiao.

The conclusion of the Penacony main story and the upcoming Honkai Star Rail 2.3 Livestream being titled "Farewell, Penacony" may signal a return to the Xianzhou.

We might explore the Hexafleet further in the upcoming updates. Both Jiaoqiu and the recently revealed Yunli are new characters, so the Astral's Express return to the Xianzhou may be imminent.

Gameplay-wise, Jiaoqiu is a 5-star Fire Nihility character, making him the first in this class, rarity, and element combination. The only previous Fire Nihility character before him was Guinaifen, but she was a 4-star character. Interestingly, despite being a healer in the story, he is on the Path of Nihility. No details of his kit have surfaced yet, but it's possible he would have restorative capabilities in his kit.

Jiaoqiu voice actors

Jiaoqiu's English voice actor is Mark Whitten. His previous roles include Kaedehara Kazuha from Genshin Impact, Kazushi Miyamoto from Persona 3 Reload, and Dr. Curt Connors from Spider-Man 2 (the 2023 video game).

Meanwhile, Toshiyuki Toyonaga does his voice for the Japanese voiceover. His roles include Claude von Riegan from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Yuri Katsuki from Yuri on Ice, and Oberon from Fate/Grand Order.

When will Jiaoqiu be playable in Honkai Star Rail?

Jiaoqiu will be playable in Honkai Star Rail on July 31, 2024 with version 2.4. This should be the release date provided there are no disruptions to the usual cadence of the updates.
