343 to expand HCS team partnership program in 2022

343 Industries are looking for eligible teams to expand the HCS Partnership Program. Which teams do you think will enter Halo esports?

343 Industries and Microsoft are looking to expand the HCS team Partnership Program within the coming months. The news came from Tahir "Tashi" Hasandjekic on Twitter, the lead of Halo Esports and viewership at 343 Industries, where he announced that they are looking to expand the HCS Partnership Program.

Which teams are part of the HCS Team Partnership Program now?

Before Halo Infinite's release, and before the 2021 HCS Raleigh event, a total of nine esports organizations partnered with the HCS at the end of August:

  • FaZe Clan
  • eUnited
  • G2 Esports
  • Spacestation Gaming
  • Sentinels
  • Envy
  • Cloud9
  • NAVI
  • FNATIC

Except for Fnatic, who has not yet fielded a roster, all of the aforementioned teams were present and competed at the HCS Kickoff Major in Raleigh last weekend.

Teams that have partnered with 343 Industries have invested "into the future of the Halo esports ecosystem," and while they do not receive direct invites to events or additional HCS points, they are entitled to shared revenue, priority access to filming content at future events, and future perks that have not yet been announced.

The HCS team is looking for teams that have a "proven track record of supporting rosters in other games or even Halo,". They also want teams and organizations that have impressive social media and content presence, in addition to ones that are already invested in Halo content.

The HCS Kickoff Major Raleigh concluded after three days of intense competition and nail-biting matches. With an open bracket that allowed anyone to challenge the very best players in the world, the Raleigh Major was a great starting point for Halo Infinite esports and had a peak of 267,000 viewers during the Cloud9 and eUnited match. In the next few weeks, Halo Infinite fans can expect more information about the esports circuit for 2022.
