Vitality signs Starcraft 2 team ahead of IEM Katowice 2024

Team Vitality has added a new game to its games portfolio. The France-based esports org has announced the addition of a new StarCraft 2 roster just days ahead of the IEM Katowice tournament. 

Team Vitality’s foray into StarCraft 2 comes via a strategic partnership with Korean esports org ONSYDE. The four-person roster includes four players from South Korea, each bringing a unique perspective and experience to the team.

“Entering StarCraft II means associating Team Vitality with the history of global esports. It's an iconic game that the entire esports ecosystem has grown up with. And as well as rekindling our nostalgia, it's a great opportunity to open up to a new market as part of our international expansion. We're going to be partnering with professionals on the scene and players with legendary status. These criteria are essential to Team Vitality's top performance model. Together, we will work towards the success of the game and become ambassadors to recreate the craze for RTS games.

The new roster makes its debut at IEM Katowice 2024 which takes place from February 8-11, 2024. The Spodek Arena hosts the StarCraft 2 tournament every year and it is the opportunity for some of the best SC2 players to showcase their skills. 

The Team Vitality SC2 roster is as follows:

Solar joins the team as one of the best in StarCraft 2. With multiple GSL titles to his name, his experience comes as a valuable resource to the squad. Maru was one of the youngest prodigies of the game winning his first televised game at 13 years old. Since then he has been a dominant force in StarCraft 2 and continues. 

The team boasts experience and a track record of multiple titles over the years. It remains to be seen whether they can find success at IEM Katowice 2024.
