The new season is here. Fortnite players are scrambling to find the best new places to land on the island. Whether you plan to drop somewhere new or somewhere old, we have got you covered on the latest information of all the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 2.

What are the best Fortnite landing spots are new in Season 2?

Alongside a new season always comes new places to land. Jumping off that battle bus for the first time each season is always an exciting moment. What should I expect? What landing spot is the best? There are so many questions that come to mind when going into a new season.

Luckily, Fortnite did not hold back on new material. While starting off season two, the popular battle royale has given us a few new places to land. Here are all of the new landing spots:

  • Command Cavern
  • Synapse Station
  • The Fortress

Command Cavern

This is basically 'Covert Canyon 2.0'. The area is still heavily guarded by Gunnar and the IO guards. Defeating Gunnar still grants players the mythic SMG and the key card to the vault, which still resides in the same area.

The landing spot still has the two main buildings inside of it with seven different entrances to the interior. There are multiple IO outposts within the cavern and a cargo dock.

This massive location has quite a bit of loot for players to grab. As long as you are able to win against Gunnar and the IO guards, then you should walk out of Command Cavern with everything you need to get that victory royale.

Synapse Station

Synapse Station is a band new point-of-interest added to season two. The station belongs to 'The Seven', aka 'The Good Guys'. Players do not have to worry about fighting the guards at this station, as they are friendly.

The new landing spot consists of a main building and a few smaller buildings surrounding it. Residing here is the 'Scientist' NPC. Although this spot may seem somewhat barren, there are still quite a few loot spawns within it for players to explore.

The Fortress

The Fortress is also a brand new spot on the map. The spot is actually a giant drill that is controlled by Doctor Slone. This was the drill that causes the earthquakes through season one and shows no signs of stopping its mayhem throughout season two.

When landing here, players have to be careful of the surrounding IO guards. Doctor Slone, who is carrying a mythic burst rifle, will fight back the second she notices you. Players who are able to defeat her will be able to carry the mythic weapon in their inventory.

Although there is a mythic weapon here, there is no vault like Command Cavern. Regardless, this landing spot still gives players an advantage over others because of the mythic burst rifle.

Whether or not this spot will be mobile throughout the season is still unknown. That said, the Fortress has a Fortnite Tank within the building you can leave with after picking up the mythic burst rifle.

Familiar spots that still hold a place for use

Even if you are solely set on exploring only the new spots, you cannot deny that some of the original places on this map are still great places for people to drop. Let's talk about a few of our favorites.

Tilted Towers

Whether you are new to the game or an original player, Tilted Towers still holds the heart of many when it comes to landing spots. The immersive and massive point-of-interest leaves people with multiple eliminations and loot that will last them the entire game.

There are multiple reasons why this landing spot takes the cake as one of Fortnite's greatest spots to drop, and here are just a few of them. First, the location of Tilted Towers is almost right in the center of the map. This means that almost all of the time, players will be able to pull zone.

This leaves people not having to worry about rotations, and if they do, they can realistically rotate anywhere with ease. Location plays a big part in the game of Fortnite when it comes to drop spots, and Tilted Towers has one of the best spots on the map.

Secondly, its size leaves players with enough loot to last them an entire game. If you are able to come out of Tilted Towers victoriously, then you will almost certainly be set on ammo and items. It is such a massive city, that players can even only loot one side of it, and still have an immense amount of loot to carry around with them.

The Daily Bugle

Fortnite first released the 'Daily Bugle' spot at the beginning of Chapter 3: Season 1, and it has easily become one of player's favorite spots to land. The spot still sits in the same location even though the Spiderman-Man mythic web-shooters have left the game.

Regardless of now having the web-shooters, the place still offers a large amount of loot for players to indulge in. The spot is still in the upper-right corner of the map, so rotating can sometimes be tough.

The new sprint mechanic should allow players to rotate out fast enough to beat the zone, helping make this point-of-interest one of the best Fortnite landing spots in Chapter 3: Season 2.

The future of these best Fortnite landing spots

We all know that Fortnite is notorious for changing up the landing spots mid-season. Players should expect potential changes to some of their favorite landing spots throughout season two. In the past, Fortnite has destroyed places like Tilted Towers and even rebuilt it in other seasons.

New additions to the season like tanks show that Fortnite plans on bringing destruction throughout the island. Players should not rule out the potentiality of some of their landing spots being demolished at some point this season.
