Here is everything new in the revamped LEGO Fortnite Odyssey game mode!
LEGO Fortnite's Minecraft-like survival mode relaunches on Dec. 10 with a new update and name. Now called LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, the revamped experience will add a new mini-boss called the Storm King while introducing many quality-of-life (QOL) updates. Here is everything you need to know about the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey Storm Chasers update.
What's new in the LEGO Fortnite Storm Chasers update?
Launching on Dec. 10, LEGO Fortnite Odyssey adds the well-known Storm King boss to the game mode alongside various minions. Your ultimate goal is to build an arsenal strong enough to defeat the Storm King, Raven, and other new enemies. However, you can seek help in the Storm Chaser Village, where you will find a pair of helpers named Carl Rickus and Dr. Borrasca.
The Storm Chaser Village provides quests and goals to help you prepare for the ultimate Storm King battle. LEGO Fortnite Odyssey has added a Journal feature, allowing you to keep track of these quests and goals. Storm Dungeons are also a new addition, which you can find at the center of these storms.
After clearing a Storm Dungeon, the surrounding storm will disappear, meaning you can explore the area without the constant threat of lightning strikes. However, Storm Dungeons will be regenerated after 24 hours, with new pathways, dangers, and puzzles.
All new villains explained
The Storm King's Acolytes and Crawlers are new enemies you will find and battle in the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey Storm Chasers update. Raven, The Storm King's second-in-command, will appear randomly once you've reached a certain point in the quest progression. After defeating Raven, you will be one step closer to the showdown with The Storm King.
Once you have defeated Raven and opened the gateway, you will encounter The Storm King. This multi-stage boss battle gives you all you can handle. Upon striking down the final boss, you will acquire the Thunderclap Blade, Cyclone Pickaxe, and Shatterhorn Fragments. These items allow you to craft powerful weapons, and you can fight The Storm King again when he respawns after 24 hours.
