LEGO Fortnite is getting split-screen!

You heard it here, folks. LEGO Fortnite is officially getting split-screen. Yes, the popular Minecraft-like Fortnite game will now be playable on split-screen, meaning you and your friend can use just one console.

So, when will LEGO Fortnite officially be getting split-screen? And what exactly is the new feature?

PlayStation announces LEGO Fortnite split-screen

While split-screen has been a thing in Fortnite for consoles for quite some time, the game has never had it in LEGO Fortnite. With so many massive updates coming to the game, however, this addition should not come as a surprise.

Still, fans are pretty ecstatic about the new add to the game.

So, what is split-screen? Split-screen is when two players can play together on one console, with the game split in half on the screen. Each split will show one player's gameplay. This is a useful mechanic for those having friends over.

When will it be released, though?

LEGO Fortnite split-screen release date

While we do not know an exact date, we do know that the split-screen will be released to the game in just a few weeks. As PlayStation said, the feature will be added to the game this October.

This means gamers could be utilizing split-screen in LEGO Fortnite by as early as next week. Or, for all we know, it could be released at the end of the month.

PlayStation also announced a limited PS5 Fortnite-themed controller, which has blue coloring and Fortnite graffiti pasted on it. It would seem as if PlayStation is really upping their game when it comes to new Fortnite features.

So, will you be playing the game on split-screen?
