Here is what’s new in Fortnite’s latest Chapter 5 Season 4 update!

Mini Fortnite updates have occurred often in the Marvel-themed Chapter 5 Season 4. With some believing several of the Marvel items to be unbalanced, Epic Games has acted accordingly to make them more fair for all players. First, it was Captain America's Shield and a pair of War Machine items. Then, Epic Games temporarily increased the Doom Island spawn rate. Today, in the Fortnite update on September 11, the developers have adjusted another tandem of Marvel items.

Shuri's Black Panther Claws buffed, spawn rate increased in Fortnite September 11 update

Shuri's Black Panther Claws are the newest Marvel-themed ability to appear in Chapter 5 Season 4, following the v31.10 update. The September 11 Fortnite update has increased the spawn rate of this item while also making them more powerful. Players who stumble across this ability will enjoy a faster sprint and a longer range on the pounce mechanic. These changes make Shuri's Black Panthers Claws a more viable addition to your inventory.

War Machine's Hover Jet spawn rate decreased

The second adjustment in the Fortnite update on September 11 slightly decreased War Machine's Hover Jet spawn rate. Apart from Epic Games removing this utility item from competitive game modes, the Hover Jet has remained mostly unchanged. However, players will now find the Jetpacks less frequently, specifically in the Avengers Chests. As per the Fortnite Status post, this will ensure that Shuri's Black Panther Claws will appear more in those Chests.

These updates are essential to keeping the experience enjoyable for players, and it's reassuring to see Epic Games making changes. Fortnite's next significant update will be released on September 17. Until then, if you're interested, keep an eye out for the Black Cat skin launching on Friday, September 13.
