DreamHack Dallas welcomes competitive Fortnite back to LAN in the United States for the first time since 2020.

Fortnite is back in full force after two years of online-only competitions. With the world’s state improving rapidly amid the COVID-19 pandemic, popular tournament organizer DreamHack announced its summer event in Sweden would host two $100K Fortnite tournaments. Today, DreamHack doubled down on competitive Fortnite, announcing the $25K Amateur Open, due to occur at next month’s DreamHack Dallas event in Texas. Here’s everything we know about Fortnite’s triumphant return to LAN in America.

DreamHack Dallas $25K Amateur Open: What to expect

DreamHack announced its Dallas event many months ago, but competitive Fortnite’s status was very much in question. Low and behold, the tournament organizers added a Fortnite tournament to DreamHack Dallas following the announcement of DreamHack Summer. Slated for June 3 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, the DreamHack Amateur Open offers a solo tournament with $25K on the line.

The tournament begins with a round of open qualifiers, where all registered players will compete against each other with hopes of finishing top-95.
