Get ready for some heavy metal free-for-all Fortnite action!

North American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold is the latest band to join Fortnite. However, this is not part of the recent Rock Band remake known as Fortnite Festival. Instead, the band utilized Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) to launch a free-for-all creative map. This article gives you an in-depth look at Avenged Sevenfold’s “We Love You” Fortnite game.

First look at the Avenged Sevenfold Fortnite free-for-all map

After teasing it months ago, the heavy metal band’s Fortnite experience went live on the afternoon of January 12. The map offers a unique twist on the standard free-for-all game mode. Those who queue into the map will battle against a maximum of eight opponents to earn more eliminations than the others.

Each player spawns into a different section of the Avenged Sevenfold Fortnite map with various weapons on the ground. Players can carry two weapons simultaneously, and ammo drops are available. Another unique aspect of the map is the sound queues that occur when you eliminate an opponent, or an opponent eliminates you.

We heard screams of 200 pump, headshot, and a few others. Overall, it’s a casual map with no building, making it perfect for those looking to chill and play Fortnite.

Avenged Sevenfold’s official X account had this to say regarding the Fortnite map, which draws inspiration from a recent music video the band released:

“@Fortnite/UEFN is a platform that can be used by creators and artists to engage with their community in new and exciting ways. We have created a 'free for all' style map based off of the music video for 'We Love You.' We find this opportunity exciting and are happy to be one of the first musical acts to take advantage of this platform. In the coming months we will be releasing a social hub as well as other games. Jump into the Discord to play with other fans, create tournaments, find easter eggs and report bugs. The band will be in there playing all weekend. This is the beginning of something very new and cool and we want to thank the Epic team for helping us navigate this process. Jump in, have fun and get some kills.”
