Here’s what to expect in terms of Rifts Mode in MultiVersus Season 1.
MultiVersus has revealed Rift Mode for those who enjoy player-versus-environment (PvE) gameplay. This MultiVersus PvE mode is a way for everyone to wish to enter the game outside of a competitive player-versus-player (PvP) environment.
MultiVersus PvE mode explained
MultiVersus PvE Rifts Mode features sequences of either themed challenges or battles. The campaigns are made up of nodes that contain the aforementioned battles or challenges within them. Additionally, the themes are based on seasonal attunements. Chaos is the attunement for MultiVersus Season 1.
According to MultiVersus developer Player First Games, when players first enter Rifts Mode, they'll enter a tutorial to learn the basics. Next, they'll get access to Seasonal Rifts boasting unique stages, skins, characters, and more. Rifts will also become more challenging as player progress through them.
Is MultiVersus PvE Rifts Mode multiplayer?
Yes, players can either enter Rifts Mode in MultiVersus solo or team up with other online for some co-op action.
"It should also be noted that when you team up with friends, you’ll both share in the rewards," Player First Games stated.

MultiVersus Rifts Mode release date
MultiVersus' launch date is May 28, 2024. Player First Games noted that Rifts Mode will be in its first iteration as well. However, it will evolve within Season 1 and beyond.
"Our goal is to constantly test new mechanics in Rift Mode and continue to surprise you, the player, with great gameplay experiences that are unique to MultiVersus," according to Player First Games.
