Is the FC 25 Ultimate Edition worth the extra money?
Just like with FC 24, there is once again two versions of EA SPORTS FC 25 to choose from. The Ultimate Edition of EA SPORTS FC 25 will cost you £30 / $30 more than the standard version. That's as much as an entire game used to cost on its own.
So, what do you get for your extra money and is it worth spending the extra cash for? Let's find out.
What is the difference between Ultimate and Standard editions of EA SPORTS FC 25?
There are some very notable differences between both the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition of EA SPORTS FC 25. However, not all is as it seems. There are only really two major benefits that will potentially coax you into spending the extra amount of cash.
These are the week of Early Access time, and the 4600 (3850 on Nintendo Switch) FC Points that come included with the game. You can purchase 5900 FC points for about £40 / $40. So, that puts the 4600 at about the £30 / $30 that you're paying for the Ultimate Edition.
Combine that with the week of early access, and if you're someone who would spend some money on FC points anyway, suddenly the FC 25 Ultimate Edition is starting to look like much better value for money.

Fundamentally, there aren't many differences between the two versions. After all, it's still the same game with the same modes, the same gameplay and a banger soundtrack! The main advantage of the Ultimate Edition is the weeks early access. Getting a head start in Ultimate Team can be a big difference maker in having a strong team to take down your opponents.
