OG smashed Tundra Esports 2-0, heads to the Grand Final of the Stockholm Major

OG continues the Lower Bracket run after defeating Tundra Esports in a clean 2-0. The team is now one step away from becoming the Stockholm Major champions.

The last day of ESL One Stockholm Major is here! The Lower Bracket Final saw a clash between two Western European (WEU) counterparts, OG and Tundra Esports. While it seemed like Tundra Esports was ahead throughout the whole tournament, OG has been riding a powerful momentum - surfing the Lower Bracket and improving in every step.

OG vs Tundra Esports sees a clean 2-0 sweep

The opening match of the series witnessed OG's powerful comfort picks. They went for the offlane Razor for ATF and the notorious Windranger for Ceb, who had an impressive 100% win rate for the hero. Although OG struggled a little in the laning phase, OG made impressive plays throughout. Slowly they dominated the first map and snowballed to victory.

In the 2nd game, Tundra threw out respect bans for OG's strong heroes including the Windranger, Razor, and the Timbersaw. This made OG draft out something slightly different - but not entirely new. There were a lot of back and forths in the early phase but once again, OG overwhelmed Tundra with assertive fights.

OG now heads to the Grand Final where the powerful TSM awaits. On the other hand, Tundra Esports exits the Stockholm Major in 3rd place, bringing home $75,000 USD and 530 DPC points.

OG is set to make a historical run at the Stockholm Major

As per OG's traditional storyline, they're somehow always fighting the odds.

To be fair, OG came to the Stockholm Major as the #1 team of WEU DPC and they were definitely a force to be reckoned with. But only a couple of days before the Stockholm Major began, its captain and coach, Mikhail "Misha" Agatov and Evgenii "Chuvash" Makarov, had their Visas denied. So Johan "N0tail" Sundstein, who is on a break, and Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, who is a retired player, had to fill in their shoes.

As the team evolved throughout the tournament, they had to do multiple adjustments to play comfortably. Ceb now plays the position 4 and Taiga assumes the hard support position. Not only do they have to settle with these drastic changes, but almost the entire squad of OG are experiencing their first Major LAN event.

This sounds like it could either be a disaster for OG or it can be the complete opposite. However now.. OG is only one step away from becoming the Stockholm Major champions. But the North American (NA) underdogs, TSM will be waiting at the Grand Final - and they're looking extremely solid. This would also be a highly anticipated revenge match, as TSM was the one that knocked out OG to the Lower Bracket.

The Grand Final, OG vs TSM will begin soon. The crowds are roaring, the spectators are ready. The champions of the ESL One Stockholm Major will soon be crowned.
