4D Esports drops the Lima Major anthem “La Batalla”

Have a listen to the official anthem of the Lima Major, La Batalla or The Battle, and with it an emotional video.

The Lima Major hype continues as we inch closer to the event. 4D Esports has released an anthem and an emotional music video to accompany the first Dota 2 Major of the year. The song is "La Batalla", Spanish for "The Battle" which is sung by Mauricio Mesones and written by Marco "Blue" Espinoza. The Lima Major anthem has a 5-minute music video portraying a common struggle among the youths in Dota 2 who want to pursue this passion.

Lima Major anthem showcases an emotional story

One day before the Lima Major begins, 4D Esports posted the official anthem, "La Batalla". The caption stated, "We wanted to craft a real story, one with no easy jokes, a brief picture of what it means to love this game in Peru and (South America)."

The music video showcased a young boy who wants to pursue Dota 2. It is also apparent that he is talented in the game as he has qualified for a grand final of a Dota 2 tournament alongside his teammates. But his parents disapprove of his passion and want him to focus on education.

The boy played in the tournament and won but ended up arguing with his father. However, one day, his father discovered that his son made it into local headlines. The newspaper article deemed him the "Future promise of Peruvian Dota". The ending of the Lima Major anthem showed the parents surprising the boy with a new gaming setup - a happy ending to close the song.

Lima Major fully embraces the local theme

4D Esports has been completely smashing it with content surrounding the Lima Major. The organizer recently released a beautiful Shadow Shaman artwork that has received high praise from the community. It now also drops the official anthem for the Lima Major, embracing the Chicha theme to the fullest.
