South America has shown tremendous growth over the years - from an underestimated region to hosting multiple renowned organizations in its Division I. It has recently welcomed Evil Geniuses and Alliance LATAM, which will be competing alongside regional powerhouses, beastcoast and Thunder Awaken.

Following this rising pattern in the region, a Dota 2 Major going to Lima, Peru is not surprising. The dates for Lima Major are estimated to be from February 24 until March 3, 2023. 4D Esports will be in charge of organizing the first Major of the year.

The second Dota 2 Major in 2023 will be in Berlin, Germany - a throwback to the very first Dota 2 Major in 2015 which took place in the country. Previously, three Majors took place in Germany, including The Frankfurt Major 2015, ESL One Hamburg 2017, and The Leipzig Major in 2020.

The dates for Berlin Major are estimated to be from April 28 to May 7, 2023. ESL will be hosting the Berlin Major which will take place in the Summer Tour. Despite not getting any DPC Regional League event in 2023, fans will see the long-time Dota 2 organizer handling the 2nd Dota 2 Major of the year.

UPDATE: ESL has dropped details for the ESL One Berlin Major.

Finally, the third and final Dota 2 Major of 2023 lands in Bali, Indonesia. This will be the first time a Dota 2 Major comes to Indonesia, one of the biggest countries in Southeast Asia. It will be interesting to watch as the notorious SEA crowd gathers at the brink of the DPC season.

The estimated dates for Bali Major are June 30 to July 9, 2023. IO Esports, a Malaysian event organizer, will be in charge of the Bali Major.
