The second part of the Battle Pass is finally open. Players who own one can now access the curious minigame known as The Candyworks. Remember the little candy sacks you have been collecting as you increase your Battle Pass levels? You can now unlock various rewards including exclusive sets, Immortal treasures and Arcana sets. In this article, we will provide you a comprehensive guide to help you understand how the game works and reap its rewards.

What is The Candyworks?

The Candyworks is a mix-and-match minigame within part two of the Battle Pass where players have to collect and combine different varieties of sweets and trade them for various rewards. You can get candies by playing a game of Dota or acquiring them through increasing your Battle Pass level.

Here's what you need to know to get started:

  1. Candy inventory: This is where all the candies you have collected will be stored. The total number of candies you own are indicated at the top. To make use of them, you will first need to click "fill slots". Not all slots are available at first and can be unlocked by increasing your Battle Pass level.
  2. Treasure emporium: This is where you can trade the candies in your inventory for treasures. You have three options to choose from in which you may re-roll if you do not like any of them. More re-rolls can be earned by playing a game of Dota and you may earn up to 10 re-rolls per week.
  3. Candy exchange: Don't have the candies you need? Exchange! The Candyworks will give you recipes to exchange candies that you own (left side) for the recipes offer (right side). Make sure to exchange candies that you actually don't need. You can also exchange any three types of candy for one.

What are the types of candies available and how does the candy trade work?

There are five types of candy:

  • Light blue Helio Gumdrops
  • Pink Stonehall Sweeties
  • Green Jidi-pops
  • Purple Redmaw Twists
  • Red Silkmire Sugar Strings

Let's take the above example to demonstrate how the trade mechanics work. As you can see, the Diretide exclusive treasure Glaring Greevils is available for trade. However you are missing one Stonehall Sweety. On the right side, you may choose to trade two Jidi-pops and Silkmire Sugar Strings to receive two Stonehall Sweeties along with one Helio Gumdrop and Jidi-pop. After completing the exchange, you will have all the candies needed for the Glaring Greevils.

However, note that you just exchanged two out of the three Silkmire Sugar Strings and spent the last one to acquire the Diretide treasure. You now have none left to trade for the Vengeful Spirit set or the courier.

Beware not to exchange candies you may need for other available rewards. If you have a surplus of a particular type of candy, you are better off using the custom exchange in order to get exactly what you need to acquire all three rewards.

What types of rewards can you get?

Here is a list of all the rewards that you can trade for in The Candyworks:

  • Hero sets - From rare to mythical for your favorite heroes
  • In-game cosmetics - For your couriers and wards
  • Diretide exclusives - Special hero sets and cosmetics related to Diretide
  • Immortal treasures - From the 2022 Battle Pass.
  • Other 2022 treasures - Such as the Ageless Heirlooms
