Arteezy’s TI streak ends – Nouns qualifies to TI13

The streak continues for Fly, but the story ends for the legendary North American hard carry, RTZ.

The TI13 NA qualifiers are over, and it's Nouns Esports claiming their spot in Copenhagen's Royal Arena, after beating Shopify Rebellion with a 3-0 score. With this defeat, Arteezy is not going to play in The International for the first time in nine years.

Many will consider this an upset, but this is not the first time Tal "Fly" Aizik's team managed to beat his ex-teammates. This same story happened during the Riyadh Masters 2024 NA qualifiers, where Nouns qualified with a 3-2 score.

TI13 NA qualifiers: The game that crowned Nouns Esports

Nouns had to go through the lower bracket to get a rematch with Shopify Rebellion in the Grand Finals. Earlier today, they beat Sammyboy's stack by 2-0, and finished the day with a perfect score against Shopify Rebellion.

Their draft strategy was a very reactive style, which helped them dominate the TI13 NA qualifiers. Every hero they picked was a counter or reaction to what SR was trying to play.

Even though the three matches were long, we can still consider this series a stomp. Nouns dominated the net worth advantage the whole time, ending with a huge KDA difference every time.

The game three had many moments where Nouns showed dominance, but there's a failed gank that sealed their advantage for the rest of the game. This was the result of Gunnar's spectacular initiation with Magnus.

After this, every other teamfight felt impossible for RTZ's team. The legendary hard carry had to buy back after losing a fight on Roshan. Nouns knew this was their opportunity to conquer the TI13 NA qualifiers, and sent Yuma's Tiny to seal the deal.

This will be the first time that Philipp "Copy" Bühler will fight for the Aegis of Champions. Joining Team Zero, Nouns is now the second team to make it to The International through closed qualifiers. North American qualifiers are over, but China still has one slot left.
