747 Dota, a new SEA Dota 2 team, joins the the fray

There’s a new name in the Dota 2 pro scene as 747 Dota reveals its Southeast Asian stack in time for the ESL One Kuala Lumpur qualifiers.

A new team has emerged from the post-International shuffle as betting company 747 LIVE enters the Dota 2 pro scene with a stack featuring popular Southeast Asian players. Announced on Facebook on Nov. 5, the The 747 Dota roster is as follows:

  • Muhammad "inYourdreaM" Anugrah
  • Karl "Karl" Baldovino
  • Daud "db-" Budiawan
  • Marvin "Boomy" Rushton
  • Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla

A new combination of Filipino and Indonesian players

The 747 Dota roster introduces a fresh combination of players from Southeast Asia. On one end, you have the remnants from the Indonesian Dota 2 roster, Army Geniuses, Daud "DB-" Budiawan and Muhammad "inYourdreaM" Anugrah. On the other, you have three Filipino players who will be playing as a team for the first time; Karl "Karl" Baldovino from Blacklist Rivalry, Marvin "Boomy" Rushton from Polaris Esports and Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla from Team SMG.

All of these players are seasoned veterans of the Division I Southeast Asian DPC with one (Jaunuel) even making it to The International 2023. However, even though these players have been around the block for quite awhile, this will be their very first time they'll have worked together as a team under the 747 Dota banner.

As of now, there is still no news as to what professional Dota 2 will look like in 2024 as there is no more Dota Pro Circuit (DPC). Without the DPC, there is technically no roster lock deadlines. That said, this announcement is likely related to team's plans to join the ESL One Kuala Lumpur open qualifiers, which November 12.
