Perhaps the biggest news it the streamlining of the name. Hawk Ops is no longer attached to the end of the title, and the franchise has gone for seemingly a reboot title. It shall henceforth be known as simply Delta Force.

You may still see the Hawk Ops branding throughout some of the Alpha Test, but that will quickly come to an end. The gameplay and appeal of the shooter absolutely remains the same, despite the name change.

Early access date, Steam Next Fest playability, and more

On to other information regarding Delta Force. The gamescom announcement didn't reveal a ton more, but it did give a look at what we can expect from the game for the remainder of the year.

First and foremost, TiMi Studios has revealed that PC Early Access will be available in Q4 of 2024. That's the last portion of the year, for those wondering what that means exactly.

In addition, the game will be playable during Steam Next Fest in October. This offers players a chance to watch developer streams, chat with devs about their games, and go hands on with some upcoming titles.

Lastly, this is a bit of "nothing info," but it is good news nonetheless. Concrete info was not provided, but news regarding console and mobile versions of Delta Force is coming soon. So, be on the lookout.
