FISSURE announces $15,000 Deadlock tournament: How to sign up, format

Esports tournament organizer FISSURE will host a $15,000 Deadlock tournament in October, which will be the new MOBA's first-ever event in Europe, with the support of betting company BetBoom.

FISSURE Underworld will kick off with two open qualifiers, the first taking place between Oct. 5 to 6, and the second from Oct. 9 to 10. Deadlock players from Western and Eastern Europe can attend and try to make it to the main stage.

The main stage of FISSURE Underworld will feature six invited teams and two past from the open qualifiers. The group stage will run from Oct. 11 to 12, and the playoffs have been scheduled for Oct. 13.

"We are excited to announce the first pro tournament for Deadlock called FISSURE Underworld! We are looking forward to hosting it and hope it will be the beginning of a whole series," FISSURE's head of esports Dmitry Novokshonov said in an official statement.

Group stage

The teams will be split into two groups of four each, and FISSURE will use a double-elimination format. The two best teams of each group will advance to playoffs. All opening matches are best-of-one series, and the rest of the matches will be best-of-threes.

Playoffs

All matches will be best-of-three series and this time around, FISSURE will use a single-elimination format.

  • Third and fourth-placed: $2,000 each
