Will the Danish veteran and the Spanish Sniper be able to cover Spinx’s absence?

Valdemar "valde" Vangså is reuniting with his former IGL Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer in hopes of keeping the ENCE ship sailing ahead. Replacing the outgoing Lotan "Spinx" Giladi is a near impossible task, but valde won't be the only new addition bolstering the firepower. Also joining the squad is Spain's finest, Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia. Will the two new additions be enough to keep the ENCE ship sailing?

ENCE has been one of the best teams in the first season of 2022. With multiple playoffs placements and finals appearances, the team has made its mark on tier one despite having a core that has been together for over a year. While Spinx has, without a doubt, been the best player, the team does not lack firepower even as he moves to Vitality.

Both Paweł "dycha" Dycha and Pavle "maden" Bošković have been primary stars in previous teams, and ENCE has made the wise decision to upgrade their AWPer as well. While Aleksander "hades" Miskiewicz was far from an issue in the team, SunPayus has been a stellar performer. Nicknamed "the Spanish device," he has been the most consistent piece on Movistar Riders, giving them a solid base in all their matches.

valde: Star or Support?

Back in 2017, valde was the star of Snappi's Heroic. But the years of struggle in North, the player transitioned into a supportive role. Many consider him the ideal replacement for the legendary support Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth. On ENCE, valde fits well in many of Spinx's positions, but it is unlikely that the team will be focusing all their resources on valde to the same extent.

With the constellation of stars at their disposal, valde and Snappi will likely become the structural pieces of the team while Maden, dycha, and SunPayus provide the big numbers.

Will valde and SunPayus be enough to keep ENCE in the top 5 teams of the world? Or will they fall back down outside the top 10? We'll find out when ENCE debut at ESL Pro League Season 16 in September.
