Damn it’s good to be a NAFfer. We take a look at the contract extension of Keith “NAF” Markovic.

The tale of the Sloth continues on as  Keith "NAF" Markovic signs a contract extension with Team Liquid, locking himself in till 2024. A member of the 2019 Grand Slam-winning Team Liquid, NAF will be a key piece of their rebuild going forward.

Despite rumors pointing toward a possible move to North American Rivals Evil Geniuses, the Canadian has committed to Team Liquid going forward into 2022. Earlier reports pointed to Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski being the only one remaining on the 2022 rebuild, but now NAF is the first confirmed for 2022.

At Blast Premier Fall Finals, NAF was Liquid's strongest performer putting up an impressive 1.15 rating, helping Liquid secure a top 6 finish before a narrow loss to Heroic. With both Jake "Stewie2K" Yip and Elige talking in interviews about roster changes, there's a lot more to come but securing NAF is a good move for the future.

A finalist at Blast Premier Fall Finals, Richard "shox" Papillon too has been rumored to be in advanced talk with liquid. If true, the French legend would bring immense experience and a winner's mindset to the team. The other rumored pieces include Nick "nitr0" Cannella returning from 100T Valorant, and Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo moving to NA from the Brazilian Furia. Without NAF this roster would have looked mediocre, but with NAF extending his Liquid contract, this could be a solid NA roster for 2022.

The only role missing is a strong AWPer. Rumors point to names like Josh "oSee" Ohm and Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov being a possible option, but only time will tell what moves Team Liquid makes.

With the roster shuffle in full swing, expect more rumors and roster changes coming out regularly. The goal for everyone is to be the first to take down NaVi. But who will end up being successful in that contest?
