I can’t wait to prove myself on G2 and hopefully at some point meet Sasha in a final, I am sure it will be a good game. – G2 m0NESY

The much-awaited transfer has finally happened. The 16-year-old prodigy m0NESY has found his new home in G2 joining the likes of Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač in their 2022 campaign.

The Next ZywOo?

Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov has been hailed by many as the next prodigy. After the success of rookies like ZywOo and B1t, m0NESY seems confident to continue in their footsteps. G2 have gone all in, signing the youngster as their Sniper for 2022. The team will definitely be hoping for a miracle rookie year so that they can put more trophies in their cabinet.

The 16-year-old has made his name on NaVi Junior powering them through their WePlay Academy League campaigns throughout the year. The parallels to S1mple are obvious and the rookie was sure to point it out. Will he be able to live up to the challenge?

So far he has boasted a massive 1.36 rating in 2022 but continuing that in tier 1 will be extremely tough. His mechanics are definitely on point but will he deal well with the pressure? NaVi coach B1ad3 thinks he needs a top-tier coach for him to be successful on a tier 1 team. He also said the youngster would be better off rifling in his first tier 1 team so that him missing shots under pressure does not cost the team.

NaVi Buyback Clause

NaVi in their statement shared a small line that has a big impact on the future. In this transfer, NaVi and G2 have agreed upon a buyback clause. If G2 bench m0NESY, then NaVi will be given priority for a transfer back to the club. This leaves the door open for a future deal where the youngster might play alongside S1mple if the CS:GOAT decides to move on from the main AWP. As it stands right now, NaVi doesn't need to move a single piece.

Is it Enough?

With every team making blockbuster moves to take down NaVi, m0NESY is G2's hat thrown into the ring. Will it be their final move for the year or will move like AleksiB that were rumored earlier turn out to be true? Bringing in a top-tier IGL will be another move but some would say with NiKo Hunter and m0NESY, the team is ready to take on Navi.

Ropz is joining Faze, Vitality are adding Magisk and Dupreeh, Gambit has gained LAN experience. 2022 will be a competitive year, but who will come out on top? Stay tuned to esports.gg to find out.
