Rostermania has come to an end, so let’s find out who’s made the best move.

BLAST Premier Fall Groups are right around the corner. And after a series of unpredictable roster moves, we've got seven new rosters facing the fire. From single-player changes to ground-up rebuilds, let's discuss the biggest winners in 2024's incredible Rostermania.

Cloud9 lock-in a balanced roster

  • Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov
  • Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov
  • Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko
  • Kaisar "ICY" Faiznurov
  • Timofey "interz" Yakushin
  • Konstantin "groove" Pikiner (C)

Across the player break, we've seen countless roster moves that create an imbalance in the roles across the team. So it is no surprise that Cloud9 emerged as the biggest winners in Rostermania 2024, given that they managed to pick up a roster with a solid role distribution and star power. Ax1le, interz, and Boomb14 make up the team's core, putting in a consistent floor for the team's performance.

And the newcomers HeavyGod and ICY are talented youngsters getting their first crack at Tier 1. HeavyGod in particular was very impressive in his time in OG, averaging a 1.16 rating across 2024. The team now has a mix of aggressive playmakers (Ax1le, Boomb14), anchors (interz, HeavyGod) and a raw AWPer that can absolutely frag out (as he did against Falcons at the RMR). All that makes for a brilliantly balanced squad that can have a very high ceiling if the pieces fall in place.

Liquid's new franchise player

  • Keith "NAF" Markovic
  • Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis
  • Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken
  • Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak
  • Justin "jks" Savage
  • Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg (C)

All the talk around Team Liquid has been about Twistzz's takeover as In-Game Leader, and the credentials of ultimate and mithR. But that glosses over their best move of this off-season. jks, the former G2/100T player, is joining the squad as a role-for-role upgrade over Felipe "skullz" Medeiros.

The move is quite reminiscent of jks' move over to G2. All the focus was placed on the IGL, Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, while the Aussie riflers quietly made his mark.

Without taking resources away from G2's stars, jks put on showstopping performances across events, with his MVP performance at IEM Katowice being particularly incredible. And now he steps into Team Liquid alongside NAF, and Twistzz.

This is a team that has always thrived with an abundance of rifler talent, and jks looks like the final piece of that puzzle. No matter how the current roster pans out, jks is one to hold onto for Liquid.

G2's Honeymoon Phase shows true potential

G2's performance at the Esports World Cup is highly commendable. Coming in with a brand new roster, and making a finals run absolutely makes G2 a Rostermania 2024 winner. Especially when the team's superstar AWPer, by his standards, managed an underwhelming 1.14 rating. That result encapsulates this team's ceiling almost perfectly.

Much like the afformentioned jks, malbsMd brings in aggressive firepower to bolster the star-duo's outputs. And when huNter- has an in-form event, like he did in Riyadh averaging a 1.2+ rating up until the finals, that pulls G2 across the line for a potential event win. The ceiling is high, can Snax lead his troops to attain it more often?

Who will be the biggest Rostermania 2024 Winner?

Looking at the names on the list, G2 is obviously the most stacked roster on that list. Their firepower is nearly unmatched, and NiKo is returning to form. But the BLAST Premier Fall Groups will be an important test for all three of these teams to step into the server, and show us who really is the biggest winner of the 2024 Rostermania. With massive events looming on the horizon, you do not want to be dropping to the Showdown.
