Pound the Alarm: Nicki Minaj operator is coming to Call of Duty

Pound the alarm because Nicki Minaj is coming to Call of Duty on August 2.

Rapper, singer and songwriter Nicki Minaj, or Red Ruby Da Sleeze as she will be known in-game, is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare II as part of Season 05.

Nicki Minaj will have her own Store Bundle and will be Call of Duty's "first-ever self-named female Operator". Activision have also confirmed that Nicki Minaj has recorded the voice lines for her Call of Duty alter ego herself.

Surprisingly, this is not the first collaboration between Nicki Minaj and the Call of Duty franchise. Nicki Minaj was also part of the Squad Up promo video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II alongside Lil Baby back in October 2022.

Celebrating five decades of hiphop culture

Nicki Minaj's addition is part of a celebration of 50 years of hip-hop. The Season 05 update, which arrives on August 2, will also include free hiphop "war tracks" to play while inside a vehicle. To receive these new tracks you need to log on four times between August 7 to 16.

The first three days will grant a War Track from the ’80s (Foundation), ’90s (Golden Era), or 2000s (Life After Y2K). On the fourth day of logging in, you will receive a special Weapon Blueprint that can be used in any online mode.

Hiphop fans might also be delighted to know that Snoop Dogg will once more be gracing the game, this time with a fresh look.
