EU Challengers Elite Stage 4: Teams, format, prize, stream

The final stage of the EU Challengers Elite season is here. Stage 4 will pit 12 of the best teams from the region up against each other to battle it out for the biggest region-locked prize in Call of Duty.

EU Challengers Elite Stage 4 could be the most competitive and unpredictable of the season, with teams showing in recent weeks that it is possible for anyone to win at any time.

Call of Duty Challengers is where all of the best amateur players show off their talents with the hope of one day making it into the CDL.

Challengers Elite tournaments consist of 12 teams. The top eight teams from the previous stage are joined by four teams that qualify from a 16-team bracket qualifier.

Every team that is taking part in Elite Stage 4 is one of the best teams in Europe. This Elite Stage is going to an incredibly interesting one, though with storylines already running deep.

From the original Aw0babobs roster reforming to seeing how Kels performs in her second Elite Stage as the only woman to ever qualify for the Elite, this time alongside the Polish Dashy, Runner.

There's also new teams for Elite Stage 3 winners Furiious, Mythix, Rafi and Henry, who have split up into two different teams. Fittingly for the final stage of the season, this seems to be the most stacked of the year.

Team Notorious, who have won pretty much everything else there is to win in Challengers this year, are also wanting to get their first Elite chip of the season.

The format for Challengers Elite Stage 4 is the same as all of the previous Elite Stages. It is split into two part, a Round Robin and a bracket.

Two groups of six will play each other once over the course of three pool play matchdays. The bottom two teams in each group are eliminated.

The top four then move onto the bracket stage of the tournament, with all eight teams starting the upper side of a double-elimination bracket.

There are six matchdays total in EU Challengers Elite Stage 4. They are spread across three weeks, always happening on Wednesday and Thursday. The first three are reserved for pool play, with the final three holding the playoff bracket.

The 12 teams in EU Elite Stage 4 are split into two groups of six. These are based on the overall seeding leaderboard. This seeding is based on pro-points which are awarded for placements throughout the year. Seeds 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12 make up Group A. Seeds 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11 construct Group B.

There is $50,000 of prizing on offer for Elite Stage 4. It is the biggest region-specific tournament in amateur Call of Duty. The winning team will take home the biggest share of that prize. Here's the full breakdown of how the prizing is awarded:

Challengers Elite will be broadcast exclusively on Twitch as it has been all season. There will be two separate streams for each day of action. The main stream will be on the Call of Duty Bravo Twitch channel with a second stream on partner broadcaster WeAreClutch's own channel.

Streams for each day of action begin at 7 p.m. BST (2 p.m. EDT) and run through until 11:30 p.m. BST (6:30 p.m. EDT). EU Challengers Elite Stage 4 will run for three weeks, with all of the action happening on Wednesday and Thursday.
