Apex Legends Awards continue with the reveal of the top three finalists for Best Slayer in EMEA! Here are the three players who received the most votes from our panel of expert judges.

The tallies are in and we're happy to reveal the finalists of the Esports.gg Apex Legends Awards for Best Slayer

Slayers are considered the most aggressive players in the game. Unlike support players or IGLs, slayers crave eliminations. They are the ultimate aggressors on the team, especially when it matters most. Most slayers can be seen using movement legends like Octane, Wraith, Horizon or Valkyrie.

Our panel of expert judges, players and broadcasters have been hard at work digging through clips and stats from the best Apex Legends slayers in the EMEA region. Their criteria include a combination of skill level, name notoriety in addition to performance in competition. Following a tough week of deliberations, the scores are in and it's time to reveal the top three slayers in the game.

OUR THREE FINALISTS FOR BEST SLAYER EMEA (ALGS YEAR 1)

John “Hakis” Håkansson

Current Team: Alliance
Twitter / Twitch

John "Hakis" Håkansson hails from Sweden and is one of the most seasoned players in competitive Apex Legends. He's earned recognition through his presence both in-game and throughout the Apex community. In addition to finding himself near the top of ALGS kills leaderboards, he uses his platform to fight for changes to improve the competitive experience. Above all, Hakis uses his competitive drive to dominate the competition. This becomes clear when you see his name at the top of the European leaderboard for most ALGS points. Hakis will look to prove himself again alongside his newly formed roster with Alliance.

Lev “taskmast33r” Grigoriev

Current Team: ZETA DIVISION
Twitter / Twitch

This 22-year-old slayer competed in Year 1 of the Apex Legends Global Series as a member of the Fire Beavers. His trio earned an impressive 2nd place in the ALGS Championship which included a whopping $132,000 prize. Hailing from Russia, Taskmast33r is the 3rd most successful CIS player in Apex history. Following an org shakeup, taskmast33r announced on August 31 that he would be joining ZETA DIVISION with his teammates 9impulse and Sunset for an ALGS Year 2 run. The former Fire Beavers will look to capitalize on their impressive 2021 earnings with another year behind the aggressive gameplay of Taskmast33r.

Konstantin "Hardecki" Kozlov

Current team: Gambit Esports
Twitter / Twitch

Konstantin "Hardecki" Kozlov is only 18-years-old making him the youngest slayer on this list. Don't let his age fool you, he's without a doubt one of the most clutch players in the region. A quick google search for "Hardecki clutch" will bring up multiple clips of his insane solo plays in late-game competitions. During the ALGS Year 1 Winter Circuit, Hardecki made a play that will go down in Apex Legends competitive history. In the midst of a stacked, chaotic end-game, Hardecki can be seen clutching an unbelievable 1v3 with very little health. Despite Gambit Esports' #8 finish in the EMEA ALGS Championship, Hardecki earned himself a top 20 placement in individual ALGS points. This, of course, was thanks in part to his slayer mentality.

There you have it, the top three finalists for our most exciting category in the Apex Legends Awards. But, the fun doesn't stop there. This week, our panel of expert judges will huddle again to determine once and for all who is the best slayer in EMEA. Keep an eye on the Esports Twitter account for the next exciting announcement on September 8th, where will we reveal the winner! Stay tuned!
