The Apex Awards are right around the corner! Today we are looking at NA's best Slayer. A Slayer is normally the initiator or aggressive player of the team. The Nominees

Tyler "Dezignful" Gardner

Coming into the NA ALGS Championships, G2 Esports was one of the favorites to win. One of the reasons why this team was favored was because of Dezignful. The American controller player and streamer has been rising through the ranks over the past couple of years. Earning over 13,000 ALGS points and having 4 back to back wins earlier this year, which shows just how much G2 has dominated the scene.

Our next nominee is Cloud 9's Zach. The ALGS 2021 North American runner up suprised everyone with his performance durring the ALGS championships, the SCARZ cup and Twitch Rivals. Zach has made quite a name for himself in the competitive Apex scene winning 7210 ALGS points last season. Zach also claimed the title of the Apex Predator in the ALGS 2021 championships, as he got the most eliminations throughout the tournament. Although he doesn't have the most ALGS points, achieving the Apex Predator award, especially at a high tier tournament makes him a contender for NA's best Slayer

Alex "Scuwry" Scala

Current Team: NRG
Twitter / Twitch

Next up is the North American ALGS champion's Slayer, Scuwry. The Canadian player for Kungarna NA took home the title earlier this year with his fellow teammates and beat some of NA's finest. The 11-time ALGS Grand Finalist has amassed 5790 ALGS points throughout the year. Although he did not place well during last year's tournaments, he has made quite the comeback this year during the ALGS Circuit. Consistency is a crucial aspect of any esport and if a player can consistently be a grand finalist, then they are a good contender for NA's best Slayer.

Another Cloud 9 player joining the ranks of our nominees is StayNaughty. Alongside his fellow nominee Zach, the American controller player has made quite the name for himself over the past year.
