The interim 100 Thieves CEO has signed an Apex Legends roster.

100 Thieves are back in competitive Apex Legends ahead of the ALGS Championship in Sapporo, Japan. They have announced the signing of iiTzTimmy, Dezignful and Genburten who have so far competed under the team name Dojo after getting together during the post ALGS Split 2 Playoffs roster shuffle. The roster will be joined by long-term coach Bronzey.

They were announced by NiceWigg, who was acting as CEO of 100 Thieves for the day. Wigg had previously dropped several hints about the organisation re-entering the esport ahead of the ALGS Championship.

100 Thieves previously withdrew from the ALGS having failed to be selected as an ALGS Year 4 partner organisation. iiTzTimmy was also already signed to 100 Thieves as a content creator, with Bronzey also holding a pre-existing position in the organisation.

100 Thieves re-enter the ALGS signing the Dojo

While 100 Thieves had previously stopped fielding an Apex Legends roster, their interest in the game had never ended. With both NiceWigg and iiTzTimmy active in the ALGS while being signed to the organisation. iiTzTimmy competed with Disguised and then Moist Esports, finding good success in the ALGS.

NiceWigg has also become an integral part of Apex Legends, hosting the hugely popular ALGS B-Stream along with Greek. The duo have also launched their own Apex Legends series, called the BLGS. Wigg said that the B Stream success directly contributed to this signing.

100 Thieves are dark horses for the ALGS Championship

With this roster signing, 100 Thieves are returning to the Apex competitive circuit with a good chance of lifting a title. Their previous stint in the game ended poorly, with a 40th place finish at the 2023 ALGS Championship.

It is early days for the new 100 Thieves Apex roster, with minimal competitive outings since their formation. However, they absolutely have the pedigree to find success. Genburten is a multi-LAN winning champion. Timmy and Dezignful also have a strong LAN record together. They finished 4th at the ALGS Championship and 8th at the Split 1 Playoffs in Los Angeles.

If this roster can gel together, they are absolutely in with a shout at lifting the title in Sapporo. Their initial BLGS performances haven't been quite up to standard yet. However, they have not yet competed at full strength. Genburten has not returned to the US having faced difficulties with his visa. He is hopeful to be able to compete in the third BLGS once these issues have been resolved.

NiceWigg announces 100 Thieves Apex roster

There was no better way for 100 Thieves Apex return to be announced than by NiceWigg himself. Having been appointed CEO for a day, he chose to bring Apex Legends back to the organisation.

He debuted a slick announcement video on stream, after fielding requests from his community. The resulting google form was inundated with requests for the organisation to pick up the Dojo roster, and the interim CEO delivered.
