Flex is a brand-new cosmetic item category in VALORANT, allowing you to show off your Flex in your hands during a game.
A new year is here, and so is a ton of new content for the acclaimed Riot Games first-person shooter. You've got a new Act to grind ranked in, a new Battle Pass to earn rewards from, and a new item category. This is called Flex, a way to show off even more in VALORANT.

What are Flex items in VALORANT?
Flex, both singular and plural, arrived with VALORANT update 10.0 at the start of Season 2025 // Act 1. They are a brand-new cosmetic type. Think of it as a mix between a spray and a melee weapon.
They're handheld objects you can use to show off a bit of personality during a game. The item can be taken out at any time, from the Buy Round to the middle of a site exec. And all players can see that a Flex is equipped in VALORANT, but any animations are seen strictly from a first-person perspective.
Riot Games is adamant that it does not provide a gameplay advantage. Players run at ability running speed with one out, not knife-speed. You can equip them in Collections, place them in your Spray wheel, and have up to four chosen at any given time.

How to get Flex
When you update VALORANT and login after 10.0, a celebratory Flex will be waiting for you. Every player gets a free one in their Collection. A second one is available in the paid track of the Season 2025 // Act 1 Battle Pass.
After that, we don't have any further info, but we can assume. Flex will probably be available in VALORANT through future Battle Passes, perhaps the accessory store, and in bundles. We'll have to wait and see, though.
