Want to get your hands on those incredible throwback costumes as part of Street Fighter 6’s Outfit 2? Here’s how to:

Just like any fighting game, Street Fighter 6 features several outfits for each of the fighters. Outfit 2, as revealed a few days before the release, is sort of a throwback outfit for some of the classic fighters but also features some incredible outfits for the newcomers.

But how do you get your hands on Outfit 2? Well, fear not! It’s unlockable in-game, for free, with just with a bit of a grind.

To unlock SF6's Outfit 2 you need to reach the maximum bond level with that character in the World Tour single-player mode. That means levelling up the fighter to Bond Level 100.

That means finding the fighter in World Tour (some aren’t easy to find). In addition, you’ll need to give them a perfect gift, use their style to fight, find and beat other NPC’s that use their style, and defeat the fighter at a high difficulty CPU level. We’ll release guides on finding the various fighters in World Tour as their locations are discovered.

Some items make this process quicker, such as in-game items, buying and gifting the fighter many small gifts, or just grinding easier fights in a cheesy way. It will be quicker for successive masters, as once you’ve completed the current World Tour story, your character, and their stats will be very high. Additionally, as we've seen with DLC characters, so long as you have some Zeny and some patience, you can quickly gift your way to max bond!

No grind, no gain? Deluxe Edition and Premium Currency to the rescue!

If you’re not down for hours of grinding to see Cammy in a leotard, then there’s a quicker solution: Buy the Deluxe edition. The game’s Deluxe edition will have four Outfit 2s unlocked, with various color styles, as soon as you purchase.

You can also use use the premium currency, Fighter Coins, to buy the outfits. These will cost 50 Fighter Coins each, for each Fighter you unlock the Outfit 2 for. It works out at a couple of dollars per costume, which isn't great, but for some, will beat unlocking them in the World Tour mode.

The above process is a little intensive (or expensive), but your reward is some incredible throwback outfits for many fighters. Classic Cammy, Dee Jay, and Dhalsim were shown off in the reveal, but we also know newer fighters are getting some stylish outfits.

Honestly, we’re just happy Street Fighter 6's Outfit 2 isn't gated behind real-world money purchases and can instead grind a bit to unlock outfits. It’s a throwback to having to unlock characters and other features in fighting games in the past, and if you’re afraid of a little grinding for a cosmetic item, then we fear for your gaming credentials!
