Other tips to complete the bestiary
You can use any of the cheap rods available at the Moosewood merchant’s shop. But for the Whisker Bill and Treble Bass, you’ll need at least the Lucky Rod or any rod or enchantment that increases your luck.
Most of the fishes on Moosewood require baits you can acquire right away by opening Bait Crates. You can buy these crates on the island, near the Shipwright NPC, for 120C$.
For the Whisker Bill, you’ll need the Truffle Worm bait, which is trickier to find since you can only get it from Coral or Volcanic Geodes, Treasure Chests, and Angle NPC rewards.
