Fancy yourself a fight? Then you’ll want to join up with the Fighter’s Guild in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
Do you like a good fight? Then joining the Fighter's Guild in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is right up your alley. You can take on contracts, gain notoriety as a mighty warrior, and collect some great rewards along the way.
It isn't as simple as just clicking a button in the menu, though. You'll have to find the guild's recruiter, then travel elsewhere to actually be assigned a contract. We'll go over everything you need to know.
How to become a member of the Fighter's Guild in Oblivion Remastered
The fastest way to join the Fighter's Guild in Oblivion Remastered is to find the guildmaster in Chorrol. If you are following the main quest, you'll end up here very shortly after you finish the tutorial portion of the game.

Go to the Fighter's Guild building in Chorrol. Inside, you'll find Vilena Donton. You can also head to her house if she isn't at the guild headquarters, as both are labelled on the map. Speak to her, ask to join the guild, and that's all it takes. You're in!

How to do Fighter's Guild contracts
You won't get any Fighter's Guild contracts from Vielna Donton. Instead, after joining the Fighter's Guild in Oblivion Remastered, she'll point you elsewhere. You can head to Burz gro-Kash in Cheydinhal, or do what we did for our first go and visit Azzan in Anvil.

Just talk to Azzan at the Fighter's Guild building and select the Contract dialogue option. He'll start you out by tasking you with helping a local townswoman clear her house of rats. Just keep doing the grunt work and eventually, the fun will begin.
Ways to lose your membership
You can actually be stripped of your Fighter's Guild membership in Oblivion Remastered. Here's how that can happen:
- At a guildmaster's discretion
- By killing another guild member
- Stealing from a guild member
- Being caught in the act of a crime
- Doing a stint of incarceration for anything
There's a chance to be expelled from the guild for any of these, but if not, three offenses means you're gone forever. Of course, there are tasks you can complete in order to take back your status with the Fighter's Guild if you haven't been permanently removed.
