How to increase carrying weight capacity in Oblivion Remastered

If you want to carry more loot in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, then you’ll need to increase your carrying weight capacity.

If you're a loot goblin like me, you'll often find yourself over encumbered. Trust me, that happens way too often in every RPG. Thankfully, you can increase your carrying weight capacity in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered to hold onto more gear, food, and other items.

There are a few things you can do and we've got you covered.

How to see carry weight capacity in Oblivion Remastered

Without any sort of magic to increase your strength, your Strength stat is multiplied by five to give you your max capacity. You won't have any speed problems while carrying a bunch of items. That is only altered with equipped items.

So, just open your inventory and look towards the bottom. The red bar with the two numbers and the weight icon is your capacity. You'll see how much you are currently carrying compared to the maximum. And once you're over that max number, you'll be over encumbered and slowed down greatly.

How to increase your carrying weight capacity in Oblivion Remastered

Now comes the fun part. There are a few ways you can increase your carrying weight capacity in Oblivion. It just depends on how truthful to the game you want to be, or if you want to do some fun exploits that aren't technically cheating.
