Hop into Marvel Rivals and you’ll find that some of your favorite skins have new color customization options available.
A new feature has been added to Marvel Rivals that has a lot of players excited. Not only do you get the skin and all of its contents if you buy a bundle, but now you have the chance to switch things up with custom colors. Let's go over all the details for the Marvel Rivals skin customization and how it works!
How to use skin customization in Marvel Rivals?
At the time of publication, the new feature has just arrived in the game. And with it, only a handful of skins are available to customize. Of course, you'll need to own the skin to be able to change the color pallet while playing.
So, follow these steps to make the swap:
- Load into Marvel Rivals
- Go to the Heroes section
- Pick the hero with the skin you want to customize
- Go to the Cosmetics tab and select the costume
- Choose the Customize option at the bottom right
- Click on the new color scheme you'd like the costume to have
- Acquire the customization for 600 Unstable Molecules
You read that last part right. The team has introduced yet another currency to the game. You can't get it with Units or Chrono Tokens. Instead, at the start of the feature's life span, you can only exchange premium Lattice 1:1 with Unstable Molecules.
They have advised that when Season 3 comes, however, there will be other methods to obtain Unstable Molecules. We can assume those will be in-game quests, challenges, or even with some being added to the Battlepass.

At the very beginning, there are only four skins available for customization in Marvel Rivals. Again, you have to own the skins already and then you can purchase the variant color pallet. The skins available are:
- Magik's Punkchild (Rosy Resilience)
- Psylocke's Vengeance (Phantom Purple)
- Luna Snow's Mirae 2099 (Plasma Pulse)
- Winter Soldier's Blood Solider (Winter's Wrath)
The developers have mentioned that new skins will be made customizable in the future. So, keep your eyes peeled for when that happens and maybe your favorite costume will get itself a nice little makeover.
