Honor of Kings’ latest Mid Lane, Yixing, is a high-mechanic Mid-lane mage that can stack Magic Attack permanently.
Honor of Kings (HoK) just released their 97th hero, Yixing, a high-mechanic Mid-lane mage who views the battlefield as his chessboard.
Who is Yixing in Honor of Kings?
When Yixing was a young boy covered in injuries, he was rescued by Ming, the Peony Diviner, and took the mysterious figure as his master. Under Ming's guidance, Yixing learned various skills and techniques, including how to detach himself from his own suffering and manipulate others.
He became a young prodigy by defeating Weiqi masters (or traditional Chinese chess, similar to Go) and completing covert missions with calm and determination to please his mentor. Now, feeling the winds of change in Chang'an, Yixing decides to pursue his own goals and views life as a game of Weiqi to be played on his terms.
Based on the relationship chart, Yixing is acquainted to these fellow Honor of Kings' Heroes:
- Ming: The leader of Chang'an Yaotian Society. Ming saved Yixing and taught him how to play Weiqi.
- Arli: A fellow companion from Chang'an Yaotian Society. Yixing often helps Arli when she carries out a mission as a secret agent.
- Yuhuan: A fellow companion from Chang'an Yaotian Society. Yixing enjoys Yuhuan's heavenly music.
- Pei: A fellow companion from Chang'an Yaotian Society. A martial artist and a fighter, Pei and Yixing are both indispensable to the organization.

Yixing abilities
Passive Skill: Maintaining Initiative
Yixing's Basic Attacks deal magical damage, and skill hits apply 1 stack of Anti-Qi. At 4 stacks, a Weiqi stone is summoned below the enemy, dealing 100 (100+10%) magical damage. This Weiqi stone is then pulled to the center of Skill 2's Weiqi formation, dealing 170 (170+ 11%) magical damage to enemies in its path.
He gains 1 permanent Weiqi stone every time Anti-Qi marks are triggered, as well as 5 Weiqi stones every 60s and whenever he scores a kill or assist. Each permanent Weiqi stone grants 1 When taking fatal damage, he enters the void, summoning a Weiqi stone below his feet while gaining immunity to all damage and 30% Movement Speed for 1s. This effect has a cooldown of 150s.
When Weiqi stones summoned by Anti-Qi marks hit an enemy multiple times within a short duration, subsequent hits deal only 50% damage.
Skill 1: Sliding Stones
Places a Weiqi stone at the target location, gaining vision around it for 3s, dealing 100 (100+18%) magical damage, and reducing Taking Liberties' cooldown by 0.5s. The Weiqi stone lasts for 12s.
If a Weiqi formation is created, the Weiqi stone will be pulled toward its center, dealing 180 (180 + 30%) magical damage to enemies in its path while slowing them by 50% for 1s. Hitting an enemy in this way will enhance his Basic Attack to deal 223 (120+60% +18%) magical damage.
When the number of permanent Weiqi stones reaches 50/110/181, he gains an extra one-off skill that further improves his enhanced Basic Attack and grants a burst of Movement Speed for 5s. The enhanced Basic Attack Reviews improvements are a scattershot effect/17% damage boost/34% damage
boost.
He stocks 1 Weiqi stone every 6s, for up to 2 Weiqi stones. If an enemy is hit Hero Trial by multiple Weiqi stones being pulled to the Weiqi formation within 0.5s, subsequent hits only deal 50% of the initial damage. On-hit effects of enhanced Basic Attacks are reduced to 30%.
Skill 2: Taking Liberties
Yixing deals 160 (160+25%) magical damage in the target area, which expands into a Weiqi formation. Enemies within the central area take 160 (160+25%) extra magical damage and are pulled toward the center of the formation.
The Weiqi formation lasts 10s. If Yixing passes through the formation's edge, he gains a 50% Movement Speed increase that diminishes over 1s, while enemy heroes that do so gain a stack of Anti-Qi. Each effect can only be triggered once. If Yixing moves too far away from the formation, it disappears.
This skill deals 180% more damage to non-hero units.

Yixing's position becomes the corner of a void Weiqi board. After 1.5s, the board takes shape and launches enemies within it for 0.5s. The Weiqi board lasts for 4s, during which enemy heroes cannot leave it. The board adds 3 Anti-Qi marks to enemy heroes over time and exposes their location.
If he successfully traps an enemy hero, he gains 1 charge of Sliding Stones. The smaller the Weiqi board, the shorter the cooldown, for a maximum reduction of 25%. When the Weiqi board is fully formed, Yixing gains 30-70% Movement Speed that diminishes over time.
