Have a lot of Stellar Jades but no clue who to save for? Here's a Honkai Star Rail tier list and some advice on which characters would be the best for you to get!
Honkai Star Rail tier list
Honkai Star Rail has a lot of endgame content, each of which demands different strengths from the characters you field. This tier list is constructed in such a manner that you would get as much value from your Stellar Jades as possible. It's also separated between Support units and Damage units.
Order between ranks is not significant. All characters not mentioned should be assumed to have low value.
This list was last updated April 1st, 2025.

Support units (Harmony, Nihility, Preservation, and Abundance)
The value of Support units is more transferrable between the endgame stages. Thus, this should be an applicable list for all of them.

Rank | Character | Notes |
---|---|---|
S | ![]() Robin | Robin is a great support no matter which team you put her on. Her team-wide buffs and Action Advance has value regardless of the other party members. If you can, invest in Robin and her Signature Light Cone, and you'll be set for most endgame content. |
S | ![]() Sunday | With the new Memosprite mechanic being introduced and summons now more prevalent with Remembrance units, Sunday's value is irreplaceable. |
S | ![]() Lingsha | Lingsha offers a lot, from healing to debuffs. She's widely considered to be the best healer in the game. |
S | ![]() Aventurine | Aventurine is a good defensive character in cases where shields are preferred over healing, or Lingsha is unavailable for various reasons. He also enables follow-up attack-based teams and fights. |
S | ![]() Ruan Mei | Ruan Mei is a must-have support on Break teams. Her debuff which extends the Break status, on top of buffing Break in general, will help you clear a lot of content. |
A | ![]() Remembrance Trailblazer (Ice) | Harmony Trailblazer sits near the top of this list for accessibility and value. They have flexibility, True DMG, team-wide buffs, and more - there's practically no reason not to raise your Remembrance Trailblazer. |
A | ![]() Gallagher | Also a widely accessible character, Gallagher has a lot of value, especially on E6. He's not only the best 4-star healer in the game, but he might also be the best 4-star character, period. Gallagher provides your team with healing, supports with damage, and debuffs the enemies while he's at it. |
A | ![]() Huohuo | Huohuo is a reliable AoE healer, and she also recharges Energy for allies. If the above healers aren't available, she's a solid choice to put in the party. |
A | ![]() Fugue | Fugue provides a lot of value to Break teams. She also gives the unique "Exo Toughness" mechanic and enables Super Break. Generally, Fugue is a good unit on Break teams. |
B | ![]() Jiaoqiu | Jiaoqiu provides a lot of debuffs, but his value diminishes if he's not with Acheron. |
B | ![]() Pela | Pela is an accessible source of debuffs. She falters when compared to most 5-star debuffers, though. |
B | ![]() Fu Xuan | Again, the hierarchy between defensive/sustain units is quite clear. A lot of late-game enemies |
B | ![]() Luocha | Luocha is a good healer who isn't SP hungry. Past this, though, he doesn't provide any value to the team. He's also squishier than other healers. |
Again, the characters not mentioned can be assumed to have a lower rating than B.
DPS characters
Unlike the support units, the value of damage-oriented characters highly depends on which endgame stage you're challenging. This list ranks them based on how powerful they are across all three.

Rank | Character | Notes |
---|---|---|
S | ![]() Tribbie | Tribbie is an amazing sub-DPS unit, despite her Harmony Path. She shines the most when partnered with AoE units. But, she can function on any team. |
S | ![]() The Herta | The Herta is a good unit across most endgame stages since her AoE nature doesn't diminish her single-target damage. She can be partnered with units that wouldn't be good otherwise, like mini-Herta (her 4-star version). |
S | ![]() Rappa | Rappa's value has gone up since her release, and a break team with her is considered one of the best in the game. She's pretty picky on other party members, though. |
S | ![]() Acheron | Acheron is single-handedly keeping Nihility afloat - and understandably so. On top of her extremely high damage potential, she can also skip most non-boss battles in the overworld and Divergent Universe. |
S | ![]() Jade | Jade is Pure Fiction's worst nightmare. If a team is AoE-focused, then Jade will shine on it. |
A | ![]() Aglaea | Currently the best Remembrance unit, and performs well on most endgame content. However, she's quite reliant on her Ultimate to deal damage. Aglaea also needs Sunday to perform. |
A | ![]() Mydei | Mydei is overall a good unit and his gameplay is quite simple, but you lose control over him while under Vendetta. Usable Light Cones for him are also scarce. |
A | ![]() Firefly | Firefly is amazing against a few healthy opponents but falters against waves of trash mobs (Pure Fiction). She also needs a team to be built around her. |
A | ![]() Feixiao | Exactly the same issues with Firefly. |
B | ![]() Topaz & Numby | Again, the same issue as Firefly and Feixiao, with the added detriment of other units doing what they do better. |
B | ![]() March 7th - The Hunt | An amazing free unit that performs well with most meta characters. |
B | ![]() Jing Yuan | Jing Yuan gets indirectly buffed since "characters with summons" is the current meta. He's weak without Sunday, though. |
B | ![]() Argenti | All-around solid and mindless unit, doesn't stand out but doesn't waver when compared to other characters. |
Again, this Honkai Star Rail character tier list is based on each unit's value across the game's various content, endgame or otherwise.
