Honkai Star Rail has over 60 playable characters. Due to this large amount, it might be hard to keep track of all of them. See all of the Honkai Star Rail characters, their Paths, and other details here. This includes upcoming characters, too, so keep your eyes peeled!

As of version 3.1, there are 63 playable characters in HSR. This excludes units that have multiple forms. With these included, the count rises to 67.

Characters have three defining features: Rarity, Path, and Element. Rarity is between 4-star and 5-star and mostly defines how difficult they are to acquire. Path establishes the "role" of the character, although this has gotten looser as time goes on. Meanwhile, Element dictates what type of damage the character does and decides which enemies they are best against.

In HSR, Paths loosely dictate what the character's intended role is in a party.

Abundance

Characters in this Path are associated with healing themselves and/or party members.

Destruction

Characters in this Path tend to have good all-around purpose and are sometimes self-sufficient.

Erudition

Erudition characters specialize in AoE damage.

Harmony

This Path is the ubiquitous counterpart of the "support" role, focusing on buffing allies.

Nihility

Characters in this Path excel in debuffing the enemies.

Preservation

Preservation characters enhance the survivability of the whole party, whether through shields or taunts.

Remembrance

Remembrance is the newest Path. These characters have summons called Memosprites that act on their own.

The Hunt

Hunt characters are great at dealing single-target damage.
