EA Sports College Football 25 will be hitting shelves on July 19 after a 10-year hiatus for the franchise. The game will feature classic modes that fans have been pining for, blended with stunning next-gen console graphics that will make its gameplay feel new and refreshed. But, will College Football 25 have cross-play?
Will EA Sports College Football 25 have cross-play?
Yes, College Football 25 will feature cross-play between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for certain game modes. The EA Sports title will only be available to play on next-gen platforms, so make sure you have one of the latest consoles if you want to play College Football 25.
Cross-play will allow players to match up against other opponents in real-time across a few different multiplayer modes. But, there is some prep work players will need to do beforehand.
How to enable cross-play in College Football 25
According to EA, players will need a copy of College Football 25, an EA account, and an internet connection to their next-gen console in order to access cross-play. After that, players just need to do the following:

- Open the EA Connect menu in College Football 25
- Navigate to the Player Search tab
- Search for a player using their EA Identification number or by using their platform identifier (A player’s platform identifier is either their Xbox Series X|S gamertag or PSN ID)
If all of those requirements are met and those steps are taken, players should have cross-play enabled by default on their copy of College Football 25.
Those who want to opt out of cross-play will be able to do so. Xbox players can do this through their console system settings, while PS5 players can opt-out through the in-game settings.

What modes does cross-play support?
Cross-play will support the following online multiplayer game modes in EA Sports College Football 25:
- Road to the College Football Playoff
- College Football Ultimate Team
- Play a Friend
These game modes will allow you to play alongside friends, regardless of whether they are playing on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. It is worth noting that some features in Ultimate Team may be limited to your current platform, according to EA.
Will Online Dynasty support cross-play in College Football 25?
In EA's official announcement, they did not include Online Dynasty in the list of game modes eligible for cross-play in College Football 25. Their full press release on May 17 stated that Online Dynasty will be a mode "where up to 32 players can compete against each other on and off the field."

Since it wasn't explicitly stated that Online Dynasty has cross-play capabilities, it is safe to say that you will need to have the same console as those you'd want to share a dynasty with.
