The Terminids are a lot easier to take on then say, the Automatons in Helldivers 2. Their strength comes in numbers. Most of them can't attack you from range, as they don't use guns. But if you get cornered by dozens of them, you'll be screaming for help.

Here's a list of all Helldivers 2 Terminids, any variations, and what they're about:

  • Scavenger: These are the grunts of the Terminid forces in Helldivers 2. When you attract the attention of one, it lets out a piercing scream that calls others to its location. Slay them quick enough and you won't have to deal with that. They're fairly week, so overwhelming numbers are their tactic.
    • Bile Spitter: As the name suggests, this version of the Scavenger spits pile at you to slow you down and allow other Terminids to surround you.
    • The Hopper: This hunter-variant of the Scavenger has low health, but is very agile. It will leap at you from long distances, and perhaps even over cover before you see it coming.
  • Warrior: These armored Terminids in Helldivers 2 require precision aim. Hit them in the soft spot of their belly or right in the face. Otherwise, shotguns or armor-piercing weapons can open up additional weakpoints. The basic version of this enemy will sometimes burrow and pop up behind you, so look out.
    • Bile Warrior: Another Bile variant, this one is an Hard difficulty or higher. They're essentially the same as the regular version, but when they're killed, they explode a cloud of bile that chips away at your HP very quickly.
    • Sentinel Guard: This is a tankier version of the basic Warrior Terminid. They're often found guarding bug holes and have the ability to hunker down. This means they curl up and protect themselves with their armor from just about every shot you take. There are small gaps between the armor you can pinpoint, however.
  • Hunter: Hunters are speedy Terminids in Helldivers 2. They'll dodge your shots and lunge at you, unless you're quick enough. You'll often find them in groups, so use explosives or high-magazine weapons with a rapid fire rate.
  • Stalker: This Terminid can camouflage against the scenery of any planet you find them on. They also can attack you from a distance with their tongues. Smoke clouds or spore eggs will reveal their silhouette, however. Any weapon will do, but you'll be shooting for a while as they have a large health pool.
  • Bile Spewer: This Helldivers 2 Terminid is rather disgusting, in appearance and abilities. It has a large bile-filled sac on its rear end. Either that or the head is the target, but beware of the sac exploding bile all over you. As well, it'll shoot bile at you like a mortar from a variety of distances. Get ready to dive out of the way.
    • Nursing Spewer: This is an adolescent version of the Bile Spewer. It has roughly the same stats, but lacks the mortar-like spewing and damage capabilities. It will also cover its surrounding area in a low-lying fog, which goes away once it has been eliminated.
  • Charger: Chargers are some of the most feared Terminids in Helldivers 2. They're seemingly unstoppable, with thick armor and unrelenting force. Trick it into running into a wall to stun it, then unleash explosive damage upon it. Stripping its leg of armor is another viable strategy, or you can just land a Resupply or Reinforcement pod on it.
  • Bile Titan: This is the largest Terminid in Helldivers 2. It arrives on the Challenging difficulty or higher, and towers over everyone and everything. Despite their size, they move quickly and shoot massive streams of bile towards you. Keep your distance and use the hardest-hitting artillery you've got.
  • Brood Commander: The Brood Commander is a very rare Terminid in Helldivers 2. They're armored, but very slow. You'll find them mostly in hives, directing wave after wave of Terminid towards you. Shoot their limbs to weaken them, then finish them off with a headshot.
